Nun im Vorfeld der Zahlen möchte ich gerne die knallharten Analystenäußerungen einbringen, damit wir uns von den ach so schönen Zahlen gleich nicht blenden lassenhttp://www.stock-channel.net/Board/smilies/smilewinkgrin.gifnalysts expect Brocade to announce revenues of $118.9 million for its fourth quarter, ended in October, up from $92.10 million in the previous quarter, First Call/Thomson Financial research said.

But Wit SoundView analyst Glen Ingalls said Brocade would have to beat that and also forecast stronger future gains in revenue, the key factor for market watchers, for its shares to steady.

``Even if they do revenues of $130 million, they are going to have to take fiscal 2001 guidance up at least 10 percent to $770 million. If they don't, the stock will sell off and could retest last May's lows near $100,'' he said.

He attributed much of the current pressure to fear of high prices by investors in the unstable tech market.

Laut CNBC sind die Zahlen absolut in Ordnung (22c, Estimate war 20), ebenso der Umsatz. Problem sei aber die hohe Bewertung der Aktie, die nur gerechtfertigt sei, wenn die Aussichten für die nächsten Quartale angehoben würden. Drum warte man gespannt auf den CC in wenigen Minuten.

Brocade Announces Record Revenue Growth for Fourth Quarter And a 2-for-1 Stock Split
Leader in Storage Networking Reports Record Revenue and Earnings For the Fourth Quarter of Fiscal 2000
SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (Brocade®) (Nasdaq: BRCD - news), the leading provider of Storage Area Networking infrastructure, reported today record revenue and earnings for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2000 (Q4 00). For Q4 00, net revenues were $132.1 million, an increase of $102.0 million from the $30.1 million reported in the fourth quarter of fiscal 1999 (Q4 99). Brocade's fiscal year 2000 (FY 00) revenues were $329.0 million, which is an increase of $260.4 million from the prior year.

Net income for Q4 00 was $27.2 million, a $23.7 million improvement over the same quarter a year ago. For FY 00, net income was $67.9 million, up from the $2.5 million for FY 99. Diluted net income per share for Q4 00 was $0.22, a $0.19 improvement over the same quarter a year ago. For FY 00, diluted earnings per share were $0.56, up from the $0.02 reported in FY 99.

Operating income as a percentage of net revenues in Q4 00 increased to 26.6 percent of revenues, up from 26.1 percent in Q3 00. This marks the sixth consecutive quarter of increasing operating income as a percentage of revenues.

In Q4 00 Brocade generated $25.4 million in cash after purchasing $19.7 in capital equipment and making $5.3 million in minority investments. For FY 00, Brocade generated $65.7 million in cash, after investing $40.7 million in capital equipment and making $14.3 million in minority equity investments. Brocade enters fiscal year 2001 with $155.0 million in cash.

For Q4 00, accounts receivable days sales outstanding was 50 days and the annualized return on assets exceeded 38 percent and annualized return on equity was approximately 50 percent.

In addition, Brocade announced today a two-for-one split of Brocade Common Stock in the form of a stock dividend. Stockholders of record at the close of business on December 11, 2000 will receive one additional share for each one share of Common Stock held on that date. The stock will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on December 22, 2000.

Greg Reyes, Brocade President and CEO, commented: ``2000 has been a phenomenal year in which storage area networking came of age and secured a position as one of the most strategic IT investments that companies will make in this decade. Company guides 2001 revenue estimate higher to $830 mln from previous guidance of $675 mln; Wit SoundView had hoped for upward guidance to §770 mln in a note this morning.

Das einzige was den Kurs unten hält, ist meiner Meinung nach das schlechte Umfeld. Ansonsten finde ich nichts Negatives. Allerdings sieht es mit $147 aktuell auch schon besser (für Longs) aus als im Tief bei $142.

Moin brigitte,
das ist was die Börse eigentl. hören wollte. Ich hatte ja mal oben schon die Bedingungen erfaßt. Also über 700 mio d.h. die doch so abflauende Nachfrage, wie sie uns die Analysten zur Zeit versuchen einzureden, scheint definitiv so übertrieben nicht stattzufinden.

Auch wenn brcd. massiv unter Druck aufgrund des allg. Marktumfeldes in nächster Zeit kommt, so sollte man sich doch ganz oben auf der Watchliste plazieren. Eine 100% Steigerung dürfte auch ein gutes KGV rechtfertigen!

gut daß ich BRCD nicht noch gestern in der Nachbörse geshortet habe, währe dann doch ungesund gewesen, aber alles ändere hätte man ja...

Der Hersteller von Datenspeichern Brocade Communications gab gestern nachbörslich die Geschäftszahlen für das 4. Quartal bekannt. Mit einem Gewinn je Aktie von 22 Cent lag das Unternehmen 2 Cent über den Konsensschätzungen. Im Vorjahresquartal lag der Gewinn je Aktie bei nur 2 Cent.

Der Umsatz lag im 4. Quartal bei $27,2 Mio. Für das Geschäftajahr 2001 hob Brocade die Umsatzerwartungen auf $830 Mio. nach bisher erwarteten $675 Mio.

Die Analysten von Robertson Stephens bekräftigten nach Bekanntgabe der Geschäftszahlen ihr „buy“-Rating. Die Analystenhäuser Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Banc Alex Brown und First Albany stufen die Aktie mit "strong buy" ein.

Die Aktie des Unternehmens kann derzeit um 7,3% auf $165 zulegen.
