Foundry sees lower-than-expected Q4 earnings
SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec 19 (Reuters) - Foundry Networks Inc. (NasdaqNM:FDRY - news), a maker of Internet networking products, said on Tuesday it expects to report fourth-quarter earnings below analysts expectations, citing a recent shift in spending on communications infrastructure.
The San Jose, Calif., company said in a statement that it expects to report fourth-quarter earnings of 11 cents to 14 cents per diluted share, excluding non-cash charges, on net revenue of $100 million to $110 million.
The consensus fourth-quarter estimate among analysts polled by First Call/Thomson Financial was 24 cents per share.
``These latest projections, modified from earlier higher projections, reflect a shift over the last few weeks in the pattern of communications infrastructure capital spending,'' Chief Executive Bobby Johnson said in the statement.
