Nach Börsenschluß gab das obige Unternehmen einen Deal der US Navy bekannt. Nachdem das Unternehmen selbst zur Zeit an der Börse mit der Hälfte also 1,9 Mrd. bewertet wird darf man gespannt sein, wie sich dieser Deal auswirken wird.
Durchaus sollte man mal den sehr netten Chart des letzten Jahres beäugen!

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Newport News Shipbuilding Inc. received a $3.8 billion contract to design and construct the tenth CVN-77 aircraft carrier for the U.S. Navy.
In a press release Friday, Newport News said it will also supply the ship's warfare system, including a new multifunction radar system. Previously, the Navy had provided the warfare technology for the Nimitz-class ships.
The company will develop the warfare system via a subcontract to Lockheed Martin Corp.
Delivery of the carrier is set for 2008.
Newport News's 1999 revenue was $1.9 billion. In October the company raised its 2000 revenue projection to around $2 billion.
