National Semiconductor [NSM] after Thursday's close warned that quarterly results will fall short of forecasts as customers cut back on capital spending and work off excess inventories. Its shares moved lower in after-hours trading.
Silicon Storage Technology [SSTI] late Thursday reported fourth-quarter operating income of $0.42 a share, missing the First Call consensus estimate by $0.04. The company also issued a warning for the first quarter. Silicon shares fell 10% in after-hours trading.
Shares of Copper Mountain Networks [CMTN] fell 17% in after-hours trading following the company's announcement it broke even on a per-share basis, which was in line with Wall Street forecasts.
American Power Conversion [APCC] reported fourth-quarter net income of $0.20 a share, missing its own lowered estimates. American Power shares fell 11% in after-hours trading.
Video game developer Activision [ATVI] late Thursday reported a third-quarter profit that topped analyst estimates by $0.10 a share. The company also raised its full-year earnings per share estimates by $0.11 and guided
revenue projections 9% higher for the year. Shares of Activision rose 13% in after-hours trading.
Shares of Primus [PKSI] could move higher Friday after the company reported a fourth-quarter loss of $0.07 a share, about half of what analysts expected. Revenue rose 50% from the year-ago period.
