CIH virus may strike Apr 26
Beware of the CIH virus! The Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) yesterday warned the computer users of the deadly virus that could possibly attack again on April 26.
The virus attacked hundreds of thousands of computers throughout the world and destroyed data on this very day.
The virus corrupts the BIOS of a computer and in some cases, damages data and files in the hard disk. The BCC has advised computer users in the country to keep a back up of all important files before using the computer on this day.
The virus can also be checked by the latest anti-virus software and the BCC called upon the computer users to contact its web site www.bccbd.org (www.bccbd.org) for help.
